We first opened our van doors in Jan, 2001 (or just after 8pm).

Here’s what we said from the beginning:

• We would make our customers the number one priority
• We would just do things “right”
• We would carry out our work with a smile on our faces

Within 3 months we successfully tendered for and won a contract to completely clear out a local college. It was at this point we realised that we were on our way and headed for a rapid rise from obscurity to prominence.

Over the next 4 years, we continued to grow the company by developing a great reputation for carrying out an excellent service. Not only were we carrying out plenty of house moves, but we were also becoming very experienced at business moving too.

In 2005, we decided to officially become members of the National Guild of Removers & Storers. This managed to raise our standards even further.

Since becoming a member, we have never failed to win the bi-annual awards in relation to our customer service (see our Awards & Affiliations page). Over 98% of our customers, in response to Questionnaires given at the end of a move, rate our service as being either very good or excellent.

With regards to domestic removals, we have carried out thousands of moves so far since the start of our time in business. These range from one-bedroom flats within the North West, to seven-bedroom detached houses to the Highlands with a complete packing and unpacking service. We also introduced a cleaning service which has proven very popular with our customers.

With our business moves, work undertaken includes that of a one man office moving next door to a multi national corporation moving across the country. We have become very experienced in sectors including SMEs and Blue Chips along with Local Government, Education and Police Forces.

Due to the scale of the Team's work, we are constantly travelling up and down the country with regular weekly loads going to and from the London area, the South and Scotland.

In January 2007, The Removal Team's sister company, The Storage Team, was set up (this was another company name we were up all night thinking about). The Storage Team now provides Manchester and the North West with over 45,000 sq ft of quality secure storage and business space. With plans to increase this to over 62,000 sq ft over the next 3 years, this will make it one of the largest self storage facilities in the North West.

With a growing list of satisfied customers in both the domestic and business markets, and with a strong presence throughout Manchester and the North West, we continue to develop our Team from strength to strength.
